Pool Party On The Roof!

I'm photo dumping! I just realised I got a load of film processed over the summer that I didn't share here. These photos are from a lovely party my friend Polly threw one sunny afternoon on her roof terrace. Pool party might be stretching it a bit...

All shot on the LC-A+ with Kodak 400 Gold Film

Grease Is The Word!

One great thing about my job is that I get to go to some fun events to take photos and review them for the Lomography Magazine. Last weekend was probably my favourite EVER!

Future Cinema (those clever people who bring whole films to life) did Grease. Only one of my favourite films in the world!

We got dressed up, had a hot dog at Frosty's diner, a dance at the prom, and settled in to watch the film on the Rydell High sports field.

I actually danced so much I hurt my hip. Oops...
Got any good tips for a great night out in London?

These photos were all shot on the LC-A+ with Tungsten film, you know, in honour of the Pink Ladies!

Celebrating My Lomography Bicentennial!

Nope, I haven't been working at Lomography for 200 years, but lovely Hannah today noticed that I have just published my 200th article! Goodness me, what an awful lot of tippy taps.

If you're on a cross country train journey, or stuck on a desert island (.....with wifi) you can read all 200 articles here.

So, how shall I celebrate?

LomoWall @ Museum of London : The Making Of

Oh my gosh! Looking back through my past posts, i don't think i ever actually wrote much or shared the photos of the project i worked on for the last year! Seriously, this project has taken up some part of every one of my working days, and many of my weekends and evenings too. I guess i got so overwhelmed with actually doing it i didn't take time to document it for you, my lovely readers!

So, this all started in 2011, when i met Anthony, the Head of Communications at the Museum Of London. We got chatting about my work at Lomography, and initially we discussed doing a little digital project to promote the Museum to the Lomography community. Fast forward a year, and we built this...

Yup, that's me there with my trusty staple gun and brilliant colleagues. That's 30,000 individual photographs, all shot on film, submitted by people from 32 countries and pieced together into four huge LomoWalls. We also documented the paralympic athletes in training. Here are some more snaps of the making of...

I was interviewed and filmed officially opening the exhibition for the ChoccyWoccyDooDah programme on the Good Food Channel, so watch out for me on that soon, and you can read another interview with me about the project on the Huffington Post.

The exhibition is at the museum until January 2013, and is free to go and see, so go take a look and let me know what you think!

LoBlography

My nod to this season's acid yellow trend (shot by Natalie)

Hey guys, last weekend i hosted the LoBlography event: an event for bloggers, by bloggers. I invited 20 amazing UK bloggers, who all came along, met eachother, had some bucks fizz and cupcakes and shot some film. We also had a sort-of-seminar, with talks from Adam from Rock My Wedding, Sian from Domestic Sluttery and Kat Hannaford.

It was really good fun, i met some super cool people, and got lots of new blogging inspiration. Lot's of ideas in the pipeline readers! I was quite anxious about it, as it was quite a lot to pull together, but everyone's given lovely feedback and i feel like i've made some new friends. Lovely! Here are some of my photos from the day, all shot on the LC-A+ with CN 800 film (warning, image overload incoming...)

And a relieved looking me, shot by Natalie
